Cakeaholic Bakers began in 2017 in Wanjiku Mwangi's home kitchen — three test cakes a week, a borrowed oven, and a feeling that Nairobi deserved a different kind of celebration cake.
Eight years on, we are a team of six bakers, decorators and a single very opinionated cat (Caramel). We bake from our dedicated kitchen and deliver — by hand — across Nairobi every weekend.
We don't do supermarket cakes. Every order is built around a real conversation — the venue, the guests, the moment. That's why we cap ourselves at twelve cakes a week.

How a custom cake is made
Three quiet days.
Day one
Brief & sketch
We chat. We sketch. We source florals, ribbons, edible details.
Day two
Bake & layer
Sponges baked at 6am. Cooled, layered, crumb-coated. The slow part.
Day three (morning)
Decorate
Final buttercream, hand-piping, fresh flowers, edible gold leaf.
Delivery
On the dot
Hand-delivered in our temperature-controlled van — never couriered.
